Prep Time (1 hour before camp begins)
SportsLife Camps (SLC) staff arrives to set up for camp.
Drop Off (15 minutes)
Parents check in their child for the day. Church volunteers facilitate this process. Parents are advised to drop off their child at least 25 minutes before camp starts on Monday. When campers arrive staff will have an activity already in action to engage the children before Warm Up begins. Just before Warm Up, volunteers will gather with the SLC Camp Director for important daily updates and prayer during Coach’s Corner.
Warm Up (15 – 20 minutes)
Campers gather together as a large group for an upbeat and fun time! The SLC staff leads songs, skits, prayer and introduces the Biblical theme for the day as well as the memory verse for the week.
Fast Break (5 minutes)
A transitional time that is fun and creative to move campers to their next activity. This happens between each activity mentioned below.
Main Event (50 – 60 minutes)
Campers are in their pre-selected sports/arts area for a focused time of instruction, skill development and fun! The Main Event time includes Small Group Huddles where camp coaches (SLC staff) and volunteers share more about the Biblical theme for the day and personal stories relating to it.
Munch Time/Half Time (20 minutes)
The large group gathers together for campers to have a bit of down time. Churches provide a snack (Munch Time) and during Half Time the SLC staff leads the campers through a story from the Bible. Campers learn a Bible verse, sing worship songs and watch a fun SLC video!
Small Group Side Show (30 minutes)
A time of outrageous fun of wild and wacky games! Campers will rotate throughout the week to do a Side Show with their Main Event group.
Lunch Time (20 minutes)
Following a group prayer, campers eat lunch (church can choose to provide lunches for campers or ask campers to bring their own bag lunch).
Church Time (1 hour)
This time is designated by the church and can include watching a movie, a quiet time for naps, a deeper teaching time facilitated by the church, a time for reading, or whatever the church would like to do! The SLC staff can help facilitate this time.
Large Group Side Show (40 minutes)
A time of outrageous fun of wild and wacky games! Campers will rotate throughout the week to do a Side Show with all of the campers together!
Munch Time (10 minutes)
Time for a snack that is provided by the church.
Main Event (1 hour)
Campers will gather together again for their Main Event.
Go Time (10 – 20 minutes)
Campers gather together as a large group to close out the day of camp. The SLC staff will lead the campers in songs, the memory verse and prayer. Campers will also watch a slideshow of pictures that were taken throughout the camp day by a volunteer. On the last day of camp, parents are invited to attend for an Awards Ceremony. Campers have the opportunity to share what they’ve learned throughout their camp week. This is also a great time for the church to interact with the camper’s family.
